This past weekend I raced a district 25 race in Sterling, Colorado. Overall we struggled all weekend with bikes and riding, but we are healthy and we know exactly what we need to work on to move forward! We practiced the track all day on Saturday and overall I felt really good on the track. This track was really fast, technical, and sandy. I got help from Tim from JGR on bike set up for this style of a track and it helped a lot, so big shout out to Tim for all the help this weekend! My last practice of the day went really well and I felt ready and confident for Sunday. Sunday morning's practice was going great until my final lap of practice on my 250 I had a pretty bad crash. Thank God I was not injured just bruised and sore and all that was wrong the bike were bent bars! It was time to reset and get ready for racing, 450 A was second race of the day so I didn't have much time. My first race of the day was going really well, the new bike changes and start practice really payed off with a top 5 start! But by the end of the 1st lap my motor on my 450 stopped. I was forced to DNF my first moto. Thankfully I was able to race the 2 stroke the rest of the day! Throughout the day I had a lot of ups and downs with good/bad starts and getting tangled with other riders. My last race of the day went really well though and it was a great way to end the rough day of racing. I was in about 20th on the 1st lap and I passed up to 7th by the end of the race. I had to really work for it on the 2 stroke against all the 450s. I am very grateful to be healthy after this weekend and I am looking forward to our next race this coming weekend at Thunder Valley Mx in Lakewood, CO for a Loretta Lynn Qualifier. Of course all of the glory goes to God and a big thank you to all of my family and friends that made the trip out!
